Day 3 - July 10, 2013
Global warming is a topic that has recently been on the minds of our government officials. You are a member of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and have been chosen to give a speech to the president and congress concerning global warming and the possible effects on natural disasters on our planet.
Write the speech.
Don't forget! We're going to the Museum of Natural History on Friday. Click here for directions to our meeting spot and information about the trip.
brittany garriques If i had to give a speech to the president and the congress, i would tell them how humans are are creating a big disaster.I would them that they need to step in and try to help make a change and there voices needed to be hurt because the more people polute the air and rise the co2 levels . I would also try to get through to them and let them know that the longer they take to do something about global warming the more dept it is going to end up putting them in. I'll let the president know that the risk of global warming is just rising and the more nature disasters the more rebuilding is going to be there is going to be needed Brittany garriques

ReplyDeletei am a member of the environmental protection agency and im here to address you on a major topic. global warming. global warming is happening right this second as we speak and it is slowly killing our earth. we are the cause of this. our ways of living is slowly killing our earth throughout the years. heat is melting ice everywhere around the world. arnimals are losing their homes because of us and maybe one day we'll lose our own homes. we keep on unnecessary lights and computers and tv's etc. and its affecting our earth. factories are polluting the air as well as cars, buses, trains. if we were to walk or bike ride a little more and less driving it can make a difference . if we shut off the lights when were not in a room or shut off the computer when no one is using it, it could make a difference. the little things can make a difference. global warming is causing natural disasters like hurricanes, earthquakes, tsunamis and so on. when those disasters occur peoples houses get ruined peoples cars get ruined, people even lose their lives. natural disasters are well natural but we cause them even more. we litter every single day and even that affects our earth. we should start helping our earth and stop hurting it. the little things count.
Hello Mr.President & Congress,
ReplyDeleteI would love to address and issue that has been happening for quite a bit of time now. Us as People are making a huge mess of creating a very big problem. Global Warming is becoming an issue here. For example lets take a look at Antarctica. Polar bears are barely living anymore. It could cause Polar bears to go extinct. Then the food chain will be unbalanced. If one part of the food chain is off balance then we all know for a fact that the rest will be off balance. We need people to stop using so much fossil fuel. I am sure that if we could cut down on bus's and cars we may save ourselves from a very terrible fate. So i am asking all of you to lend a helping hand to us. You are asking you to raise awareness that if we don't take care of our planet we will be in for a serious Natural Disaster. You should also keep in mind if we don't raise awareness we will have many Natural Disasters and it will cost us thousands maybe even millions. If we raise awareness then we can all pitch in together and save our planet. So i am asking for your help so we all don't have to pay for the damages. Thank You For Your Time .

ReplyDeletedear president and congress, as of today in the 20th century we are making a big mistake by ruining our planet. today global warming is a huge aspect of the world today and it needs to stop. global warming is harming our planet and is causing natural disasters more than usual. for example more hurricanes , tornados and so on are expected more now than before. if we cut down on the pollution we could stop thinning out the layers of the atmosphere. by helping each other out to make a change i think we could save our planet before its too late. and more natural disaters will occur.
To-president and congress
ReplyDeleteMy name is Chris avakyan from the environmental protection agency and I'm not sure you are aware of our current situation regarding global warming. This has been going on for many years. Global warming is happening right now . Global warming is when the suns rays hit the earth the ice bounces it back and with all of us burning fossil fuels it is damaging a layer in the earths atmosphere which makes this layer of gases more thick. This is bringing the temperature up every year. This is harming polar bears who lived on ice that is now melting because of global warming. We need to make a change in this together and reduce reuse and recycle. And take hybrids to transportation not cars that run on gas. Turn the light off when not using it. Hope you agree.
Tyanna Huff
ReplyDeleteHello my name is Tyanna Huff from the Environmental Protection Agency. All of us in here should know that in some ways littering hurts our earth and clutters our oceans. However that isn't even the worst of what we humans have done to our planet. How many of you in here has ever visited a green house? Well imagine earth as our own personal greenhouse. Everything that we release into the earth somehow gets stuck here unable to "air out". Being that the suns rays are constantly reflecting onto earth the heat from them are staying here too. The amount of CO2 set off into earths atmosphere from our numerous amounts of fuel based man-made products adding onto the already increasing temperatures of the suns rays is literally heating up our planet. Not only does our planet suffer from being over heated but its melting our ice glaciers which could permanently end our world. Not only does 40% of our population rely on the fresh water produced by the melted ice capsules but when they are being disposed of at such a rapid rate it will become hard to find water. If that isn't enough to draw your attention then maybe you should realize that animals at risk. Although only 2% of the ices water is glaciers if that was to all melt and sea-levels would rise then we could lose many of earths coastlines. This isn't just a movie or a book. This is the life we live here on earth. The life that we basically wont be able to continue to live if you, our government don't take a stand and help fight against it. If you are capable of enforcing laws to protect our citizens why can't you help make laws to help protect our country. The EPA is trying our very best to continue to spread the word about global warming. We try so hard to warn people about that possible natural disasters that can occur. The earth is giving us the pay-back we never thought we could have. Who knew that pollution, war, and global warming would've happened like this? After completing 10 years worth of research the Environmental Protection Agency has come to the conclusion that without the help of you this situation can get way worst. High sea-levels can also mean larger tsumanis and with the unbalance of fresh and salt water could cause the next ice age. Its up to you guys to lead our country to lead our planet. As crazy as it sounds, we can't rely on another country to take on our leadership role. It's up to you. Are ready to join hands and take a stand?
Jennifer Chen
ReplyDeleteDear President and Congress, as you can see natural disasters are starting to occur more often than usual. It's not even up to mother nature anymore, its all done and caused by humans. Us humans are responsible to keep the earth clean and a friendly environment. These natural disasters are caused by global warming, global warming is caused by pollution and rise of carbon dioxide levels. These toxic things are destroying the earth, it is destroying the ozone layer which causes the earth to keep the heat from the sun in, instead of releasing it. Global warming is also causing glaciers to melt, the melting of glaciers causes the sea level to rise. Soon enough Sea levels will rise to the point where major cities around the world will be underwater. Please join me in the Environmental protection agency to help save earth! We need to decrease the amount of pollution, decrease the amount of fossil fuels burned, and decrease the amount of carbon dioxide level. If we don't make a change the next generation and the generation after that would suffer. Together we can help improve our own health, those around you, and we can help improve the earth.
Hello Mr. President and members of congress. I am a member of the Environmental Protection Agency and I'm here to tell you something that might shock you; global warming is bad. Global warming is caused by humans releasing greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. The gases trap in heat waves and these heat waves are starting to over heat the earth. As the earth is being overheated so is the ocean. The heating of the ocean is what causes natural disasters such as hurricanes and tsunamis to increase in power and become more destructive. Natural disaster can not be stopped, but the severity and power of natural disasters can be decreased. Be decreasing global warming there will also be a decrease in the severity of natural disasters. If we allow global warming to continue knowing the circumstances, we will be standing by while mother nature destroys not only our country, but the world.

ReplyDeleteHello, I am from the Envoirmental Protection Agency I'm here to inform you about The Affects that will transpire if we do not take action on Global Warming. We can no longer sit back & allow Nature to fix itself. Global Warming is slowly taking its tole on our envoirment & its our fault as well as our duty to take action. Green House gases from smog & power plants are penitrating our atmosphere generating heat that is melting the polar caps & heating the ocean. In which will raise sea level as well as cause Hurricanes to develop.Scientists have shown the rise in temperature each year that can cause a drought if we dont try to make a difference, Heed my words Mr.President for this is not a laughing matter we must take responsibilty of our actions before Natural Disasters Consume what we call our Beautiul Earth.
Lisandro Jimenez
ReplyDeletei am here to address that we are the ones slowly destroying our only home. at the rate that we are going we will have serious responsibilities to confront in the future. we are polluting the earth so much, right now we are destroying homes of many animals that live in cold places such as polar bears, with all the CO2 being put in the atmosphere across thew world we are slowly destroying many homes that could have been for the polar bears. the CO2 being released into the atmosphere is melting ice and it will cause water levels to rise. this could be a major disaster across the world... buildings, homes, businesses will be lost. the lives of our loved ones could be in danger. we must take a stand now and stop polluting our atmosphere and start to walk instead of using cars. people use their cars too much... even just to go to the local deli for once make a change and walk or skateboard or ride a bike !. it only takes one person to start influencing others to do the same. that could saves us some more time on this place we call our home. ReplyDeleteDear president and Congress, natrual disasters are happining alot more. natrual disasters are caused by humans because we don't keep track of keeping the earth clean.Global warmimg is in the mist of happing because ; As we burn fossil fuels like coal, oil and natural gas for energy or cut down and burn forests to create pastures and plantations, carbon accumulates and overloads our atmosphere. which causees primarily a problem of too much carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere—which acts as a blanket, trapping heat and warming the planet. If we dont act on this now it will be to late to stop global warming from happining. in order for us to put a stop to global warming we have to keep track of keeping the earth clean and stop burning fossiel fuels because as we do this its causing this to destroyyed earth peace by peace.
I have been choosen by the presendent of the united states to speak on this issue. Whats the issue somebody might ask. well this issue is global warming. global warming is the affect of Co2 riseing up into earths ozone layer and its traps heat causing the ozone layer to melt. this is bad because we as humans and as well as our planet is at risk. what the melting of the ozone layer causes is the polar ice caps to melt. somebody might ask what does this matter? Well it matters alot especialy to people near a coastline. when polar ice caps melt they cause water level to rise like ice in a drink except it will go into our cities and neighborhoods. take a moment and think if you were earth would you like it? ReplyDeleteTo Mr. President and Members of Congress, I think it is very important that I discuss the dangers of global warming. Global warming is not like any other topic it is much more serious. It’s more serious, because we’re talking about how life and planet earth is changing. The earth is changing from the way it‘s getting polluted by all the things that us people use. Such as: cars, buses, factories etc...Life on earth is changing, because now people do not or are starting to lose interest in maintaining the earth.

ReplyDeleteMr.President, our country is in danger of Natural Disasters. Think about all the hurricanes, floods, and fires and many other disasters the world has been through. Don't you want it to come to an end? I know I do. these issues are becoming more serious on the daily basis and it needs to come an end.
Jasmine Singh
ReplyDeleteDear President and Congress, I am a member of the Environment Protection Agency and have been chosen to discuss a major issue. The major issue we are dealing with today is global warming. Global warming is hurting our atmosphere and we need to stop this. Pollution is spreading even more and the carbon dioxide from air planes, cars, buses is increasing even more as-well. The carbon dioxide is causing the ozone layer to heat up which is causing global warming and the melting of the ice caps. These issues might not seem important or a big deal now but slowly its going to start hurting our atmosphere even more. Some ways we can help stop this is by recycling, saving energy, and by changing the type of transportation we use. We need to save our atmosphere.
Dear Mr. President and congress:
ReplyDeleteMy name is Lavaughn Arrington and I am a member of the Environmental Protection Agency. I am here to speak to you about global warming and the possible effects on natural disasters on our planet. I feel that global warming is bad for our environment, the planet, and the people on it in many ways. One way global warming is bad is because it causes the ice to melt in the north pole and this causes flooding. Another way global warming is bad is the pollution caused by vehicles such as cars, trucks and planes. The gases that come out of these vehicles damages the air and people. I feel that you and congress should make laws that will benefit people and our environment. We need to keep our planet green, safe, and clean for our future.
Izaiah Shedrick
ReplyDeleteDear people of the world and leaders,
I would like to address one major problem that can and will affect us all if we don’t change our ways. Global warming is a serious matter that won’t only affect us as humans but will affect other living organisms around the world. As we know the glaciers in Antarctica are beginning to melt, and this leaves polar bears on their way out to extinction. I know everyone must be thinking what does this have to do with us? The glaciers melting means that the sea levels are rising and with that being said, it means that more places are prone to get hit by tidal waves or tsunamis. With global warming places that don’t get hit with tidal waves or tsunamis are still at risk, for greater dangers such as droughts. A drought is enough to wipe out any type of civilization, because there’s no water to grow crops or any water to drink. With global warming the whole human race can be wiped out in several different ways, some parts will get drowned out, some will get dried out, and some will get burned out. It us up to us as humans to stop or at least bring global warming to a slow. We can achieve this goal, by reducing the amount of fumes and toxins we release in the air, stop going to war over little things, and most importantly, stop abusing the earth’s natural resources. I hope you all understand and all take this into consideration to come together as one to save our lives and other innocent organism’s worldwide.
As a member of the Environmental Protection Agency, my job should be obvious to you. What I really want to touch upon today is global warming. Global warming is a topic that has recently been on the mind of our government officials. Global warming is a natural disaster which affects many factors of our society. Global warming is caused by something we call the greenhouse effect. Harmful carbon dioxide gases are released into the atmosphere, then trapped and sent back to earth. Due to the fossil fuels that are released from our cars, factories and electricity global warming is taking place. It is causing ice caps to melt and leaving polar bears homeless. The more ice caps melt the higher sea level we will experience. The higher the sea level the more we are at danger of hurricanes and other storms becoming stronger. This is something that every person should be aware and educated about. Global warming is affecting everyone, it’s here and its now; it needs to be the topic that has our full attention. Keep in mind global warming is attacking the planet we all call home.

ReplyDeleteDear Mr. President and the members of congress, I am here to address a major issue in the world. Global warming. Global warming is caused due to carbon dioxide being pumped into the atmosphere. Things such as pollution from cars, etc all affect the atmosphere. Global warming will cause the polar ice caps in the Arctic to melt. Thus endangering the lives of polar bears. Not only that but the melting of the glaciers will cause sea levels to rise and may cause many natural disasters such as tsunamis. It is up to use to save our planet. We should begin by reducing the amount of carbon dioxide from entering the atmosphere. We need to stop man-made disasters from turning into natural disasters.
Hello president and congress. As we all know this issue has become a huge problem . Global warming has always been a world wide issue . Its pretty sad that global warming is now, being thought about . Either way , We have to do something about this issue or this can affect everyone in ways you cannot imagine. There are little things that everyone can contribute to doing to help stop global warming. Starting with travel , Switch to hybrid cars or take public transportation. Your cars burn fossil fuels and pollute the air everyday contributing to global warming. You don't always have to drive everyday . Walk or ride a bike sometimes . it would help. Also you can start to use low energy light bulbs,if everyone could do that it can prevent alot of carbon from being added to the atmosphere. Or even if you don't need the lights , turn them off. Everyone can contribute too help stop global warming.

ReplyDeleteHi there, my name is Diresh Sukhram, and I am from the Environmental Protection Agency (the EPA). I would like to talk about one major problem that has been rumored to be not true over the years but as recent studies have shown, it is in fact true and happening as we speak. This major problem is global warming. Global warming has been rumored to be a misconception. Global warming has and is still having a huge affect on changing climate in the world. It is causing the polar ice caps to melt and as they melt, this interferes with animal's habitats and if we do not do something to try to stop or lessen global warming, these animals could be out of a home. There are many factors that are contributing to global warming, some natural, but most of the causes are man-made such as the burning of fossil fuels. Burning of fossil fuels releases more carbon dioxide into our atmosphere, causing global temperature to rise and hence the climate changes. We have to bring change before it is too late to do something because we only have one world, treasure it as you can.
Hello Mr. President and Congress, I am a member of the EPA and I'm here to address a matter that will affect us if we do not act upon it soon enough. I'm talking about Global Warming. This is a very serious matter because of the fact that it affects everyone on earth."The atmosphere has a natural supply of "greenhouse gases." They capture heat and keep the surface of the Earth warm enough for us to live on. Without the greenhouse effect, the planet would be an uninhabitable, frozen wasteland. " Today, there is more CO2 in the atmosphere than at any time in the last 800,000 years. Studies of the Earth’s climate history show that even small changes in CO2 levels generally have come with significant shifts in the global average temperature. This increases the greenhouse effect, trapping more and more UV rays in our atmosphere. This is making the earth hotter and hotter because each year it gets worst. The worst part of it is the melting of our polar ice caps. The melting of the polar ice caps is the worst part because of the loss of polar bears' habitats and the constant rising of the sea level. You should make this known to the public so we can finally end this disaster.
ReplyDeleteGood evening Mr. Obama and the fellow United States i am Matthew Robinson member of the epa here to present an inconvenient truth! We all know the devastation natural disasters can bring to this country. Today I will give a clear cut initiative that I have so well put together. If we do not stand up to fight the epidemic of global warning there can be catastrophic effects! I believe that with all the natural disasters i believe there is one being far too over looked..An ice age!So now we have the biggest and brightest sun that we all depend on to live daily. Now the rays we receive from this cast of light 24/7 emit what they call an infrared beam or in other words warm energy. Now I want to draw your attention to the destruction of trees and forests. This of course is a big issue in America still and what this does is take away from our supply of oxygen on earth. With that being said it would be fair to say the levels of carbon dioxide would go up right? Now what this now does is traps those good ol infrared beams from the sun in the earths atmosphere. This is why we're starting to see such a drastic change in the earth's geological structure glacial wise. What I mean by that is now that the earths starting to heat up due to the trapped infrared beams this warms the ocean surrounding the glaciers causing them to melt. With this knowledge I now want to draw your attention to one of the two polar ice caps in the world, Antarctica. Along the coast are called ice shelves. Ice shelves over the past years have been losing mass which his been depositing into the earths water slowly but surely upsetting the balance of our oceans. With the steady rise of global warming I can predict that as of right now that land mass of ice will completely melt. This will raise sea level about twenty feet worldwide! Now if that be case of Antarctica what is there to occur to the north? Soo carbon dioxide is trapped in the air not only keeps infrared beams in but blocks sunlight as well. So the world is now full of water and diminished sunlight. As time goes on the water will eventually freeze over causing another ice age.
ReplyDeleteDear Mr.President and Congress:
ReplyDeleteMy name is Quenya Paulino and I am a member of the Environmental Protection Agency and we need to discuss with you about global warming that is or will happen to our planet. Global warming is happening around the world and if we don't stop it , it can get worst . The pollution is spreading more then it is already now , and we aren't doing anything about it . We need to spread the word and let people know whats going on and what needs to be done . In order for that to happen I thought I should let you know first on my opinion so things can get better . Global warming is a bad effect on this planet. Our atmosphere is getting bad. Cardin dioxide is getting heated up which is causing global warming and that is causing our glaciers to melt which isn't good . We need to get these things done and be careful for what we do because we may never know what can happen . We need to stay clean to stay green .
Good day Mr. President, Congress.
ReplyDeleteI am a member from the environmental protection agency(EPA), standing in front of you today to bring your attention closer to global warming. many of you do not know how bad it is, or how bad it can get. Natural disasters can be caused by either mother nature or human nature. Humans cause natural disasters by polluting the air by over using factories an using gasoline used cars instead of an electric vehicle. These factories and gas cars can cause the temperatures to rise above average which also causes the CO2 levels to rise. when CO2 levels rises it causes the ocean water to warm up and start high waves. Mother nature brings Earthquakes, Tsunamis, and landslides. these landslides are caused by building homes and stores on raised areas that can shift and break off if a bad earthquake occurs. we can reduce the rising Global Warming we can start reducing traffic by riding more fuel efficient buses or carpooling or powering down our electricity when not in use. we can also improve by becoming more technological with mother nature so we know when a disaster is coming.
Thank you for your time.
Ryan Ricketts
ReplyDeleteLadies and Gentlemen of the congress, it is my saying that Global Warming is going to affect the world in ways that can’t be explained. We are the main reason why Global Warming is happening and if this continues to escalate, dangerous, catastrophic disasters will happen that will change the world forever. The lessons we learned in the past is nothing that will prepare us for the future events that will soon become. If this problem escalates, the weather will change and climates will turn and storms will be created. Hurricanes will appear, Tsunami’s will rise, and people will die. The amount of fossil fuel that is being burned by our machines all around the world such as cars, factories, planes, boats, are all given off Carbon Dioxide that is a greenhouse gas that gets trapped in the upper atmosphere. When this happens, then the amount of the Suns heat gets trapped and absorbed by the sun. The excess heat that is given off by the earth is then turning the temperature up. During this process, the heat is heating up the Ice caps in Antarctica. With this, the sea level will rise, and within a matter of months, Islands and cities that are below sea level will flood because, of Tsunami’s. Everything that was hit by that Tsunami will all be destroyed. We need to start a change now in how we burn non-stop fossil fuel. It would be a major problem if it was to escalate out of control.

ReplyDeleteDear Mr. President and Congress. I am speaking on behalf of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to tell you the important information of global warming and the possible effects on natural disasters on our planet which we need to prevent. There are many different natural disaster that have been happening on our planet that we have corrupted. If we don't fix what we broke our land will be underwater. Please help the people we are so focused on many other things and we don't see what is happen to our planet. We have already had one to many things that have happened to our country and we would not like to see everyone go down. If we come together as one we can help change the world. Also we need to find a different product that would provide for cars. It is affecting our atmosphere and changing our climates in different areas. We need to spread the word, if we don't we will suffer. Please help we need all the help we can get!
Hello my name is Shaquille Adams and im from the environmental protection agency. Im here to speak to the president and Congress. Since day one of this earth we have been going through global warming. This is caused by the human population every where and mother nature. As a nation we must protect this earth that we reside on! We are taking bad practices to live on this earth and this is dangerous. Our children and grand children should not be put through this. We need to ask ourselves is wasting gas worth throwing away the world? Is.blowing smoke up in the air worth not living? Im here to say that we can change and it needs to start now! These natural disasters are destroying the world and everyone knows it. Human disasters are destroying us. Im here to say come together work as one and there will be changes
ReplyDeleteThomas Rajeh
ReplyDeleteMr. president, congress. my name is Thomas Rajeh and I am here speaking to you all on the topic of global warming. I am here on the behalf on the EPA to inform you and show you the real and ugly truth of global warming. first off let me start off by explaining to everyone in simple terms what global warming is. global warming occurs when the suns rays enter into our atmosphere in short waves to heat our planet and when the bounce back to re-enter space they are blocked in our atmosphere as long waves. they are blocked from leaving because green house gases get in the way. now to everyone in the room today wanting to know where these green house gases are coming from, and what we can to get rid of them. let me explain to you that where and what's of green house gases. when you wake up and go to work in the city. you start your car and drive into traffic where you and your car sits and lets out toxic fumes into the atmosphere. co2 is one of the gases that contribute to the green house gases. now you say well lets switch to biking to work and walking. this will help but not enough we still have a big problem with our population. we are growing in numbers so high that the amount of natural resources to humans will soon run out. what we can do to get rid of the green house gases to start caring about are carbon foot print. start carpooling to work. consider having a smaller family. pick up after yourself and others who choose not to. because, the smaller your foot print is. the bigger and impact you can make. so to our president and congress please take all that I have said into consideration as you go on with your lifes.
please and thank you

ReplyDeleteGlobal warming is a topic that has recently been on the minds of our government officials. As a member of the Environmental Protection Agency I am here to give a speech to the president and congress concerning global warming and the possible effects on natural disasters on our planet. Well to start, what is global warming? Global warming is the reason our planet might not be our home for much longer. Global warming is created by us humans, we are doing nothing to help stop it; instead we continue to add to it everyday. Global warming is happening because heat energy gets trapped into our atmosphere by greenhouse gases, and that heat energy goes back to our water and land. Greenhouse gases are created by harmful gases being released into the air. Cars, factories, using electricity all burn fossil fuels. These fuels make our air polluted. As we speak global warming is changing our global climate, this is happening now in our generation. We need to find ways to stop it. You need to enforce laws to help our home. The economy will not matter once the whole planet is flooded. We need do do something before its too late. With a rising global temperature and a rising sea level, who knows how long more we have. Our cites will be destroyed, more species will become extinct, and so will we. We put more pressure on the earth everyday, in our lifetime we have witnessed natural disasters getting worse. This is also because of global warming. We spend money trying to rebuild areas affected by these natural disasters, but why don't we do something about it before it harms us. Our planet should be our main concern. There are small things we can do to help save earth. We need more fuel efficient cars, car pooling, using public transportation, walking or even riding a bike are ways we can help. There will be less gases in the air. Other countries are trying to help this situation by changing there ways. Don't you think it's time we did too? We all live on the same planet and it's our job to take care of it.
Being a member of the Environmental Protection Agency, I would like to address you all about the issue of global warming. Many beg to differ global warming is not an issue, but it's affecting us at the very moment. Global warming has a major impact on the environment; not only does it affect certain regions, global warming impacts the entire planet. Global warming is caused because air pollution and gases such as carbon dioxide and methane are all gathering up creating a thick blanket which covers the ozone layer and traps all the heat inside. Because of this, the climate is changing and the temperature is increasing as days go by. We are responsible for this happening because the actions we take every day such as coal burning of power plants and the use of automobiles play a role in the increasing of global warming. The impacts of global warming are difficult to predict far in advance but as years go by, scientists have boosted their knowledge. They predict natural disasters such as the melting of glaciers, severe droughts, flooding in seaboards, warmer sea surface temperatures which might lead to hurricanes, and disruption of habitats may occur. We all as individuals have the ability to take control of this inconvenient truth and make it better. We can do that by reducing pollution from vehicles and power plants, recycle more, increase our reliance on renewable sources and conserve energy. We must cut emissions of global warming in order to take care and survive the planet we live on.

Hello, I am Michael O'Leary with the Environmental Protection Agency and I am here today to talk with you for obvious reasons. Global Warming is something that is affecting our country very negatively. Not only do we see it every day, but we also contribute to it without even knowing it. For example, when you drive your gas powered car to work in the morning, you are letting gases into the atmosphere that trap heat and cause the temperature of the planet to rise. If the planet's temperature continues to rise, we will have stronger and more frequent natural disasters. We could also throw off the ocean currents and make a huge tip in the balance of the ocean. this would be because polar ice caps are melting. We as a human race, as the people who inhabit this earth, can only take blame for this. As you have now been briefed on this topic, I expect you to go out and try to make a change, because a change can only start with one.
ReplyDelete-Michael O'Leary
Deletehello everyone , i am with Environmental protection agency im here to explain to you the real issue at hand here. global warming is a serious problem. it affects us every minute. the damaging side affects are serious. the climate changing is very bad. for example its causing droughts all over. its causing the melting of glaciers. greenhouse gases are responsible for global warming & humans release them. Most come from the fossil fuels in cars, factories and electricity production. The gas responsible for the most warming is carbon dioxide. if we keep up with global warming hurricanes and storms will get stronger , which is more damaging for us & also the ecosystem will change. all we have to do is reduce all of the car drving & other things. change can come if we try.

ReplyDeleteHello, I am here from the EPA to discuss the problems we face with global warming. Global warming is the warming of the Earth through carbon dioxide. The (CO2) is being pumped into the atmosphere from tailpipes and smokestacks. These gases often trap heat like the glass in a greenhouse. The effects of global warming will hurt us more in the future than in present time. The sea level will start to rise, the temperature will increase, and the habitat of some animals would be affected. There is nothing positive about global warming, that's why we need to do everything in our power to put an end to it. Global warming can cause natural disasters such as land slides, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and tornadoes.

I am here to talk about one of the most serious issues that have been sweeping the nation. Global Warming which is a gradual increase in the overall temperature of the earth's atmosphere generally attributed to the greenhouse effect caused by increased levels of carbon dioxide, CFCs, and other pollutants. WE have been worrying about terrorist but the real enemy is our self. Our cars and factories give off these gasses making the process of polar ice, ice shelf's to melt at a alarming rate. we need to concentrate on building more eco friendly products that release these gases or their ceases to be a place to call home.
Thank you

This is for the President at the White House and those who are of higher authority of me. Global Warming is a serious matter that is affecting our everyday live. We may not know it or think it’s an overwhelming situation. By ignoring it by the day will keep making this worse. All this air pollution that we are causing, littering and such types of the act keep on putting us closer to the brink of danger. In order to save our county and us, us as a whole need to take precautions now. If that doesn’t happen, I will not be surprised if out country ends up warming out.
ReplyDeleteHello Fellow President and Congress. I am Adrianna Wilson from the Environmental Protection Agency. I am here to infrom you about Global Warming and the causes for it. Global warming is when gases like CO2 traps sun rays on the earth and these sun rays heat the earth. Global warming can cause many natural disasters suck as earthquakes , volcanic eruptions , and forest fires. There natural disasters can cause a decrease in population. We as a country should act fast on stopping humans do what they do to hurt the earth. We should make a law foe now littering , we should increase the amount of electric cars and decrease the about of gas cars , we should stop hurting our living planet. LETS ACT NOW !

Hello
ReplyDeleteWe live in a world where man refuses to make a change solely on the fat hat his paycheck wont have so many zeros on it. We live a world where no one wants to take that first step for change. But the time for change is here and now global warming is not just Americas mistake but also the world’s mistake. We are a nation of leaders and of strong people, so it should be us to be the first to clean up our mistakes. There are things that we can do that will help us reduce our affect on the planet , like reducing our output of green house gasses, producing more energy form renewable sources,, and the decrease in our usage of fossil fuels will help start a movement that will eventually stop this damaging effect that we have on this amazing planet that is our own. This is are only planet sirs, this is our only home we cant think about ourselves anymore our thoughts have to be more long-term. Think about what our children will have once were gone, think about their children. I only hope that we’re not remembered as the generation that killed the earth, but as the ones that decided to get up and start doing the right thing
Thank you

Hello I'm a member of The environmental Protection Agency and I'm here to discuss all the concerns of global warming including all the effects that could happen with natural disasters. We all need too step up if we want to continue to live on this earth because its getting destroyed day by day. Nothing good comes out from global warming. For example the climate is changing, glaciers are melting, droughts are occurring and we also are the cause of this. Factories and cars harm the atmosphere because they let out C02. When the glaciers melt that hurts animals like the polar bears. They have no where to go if their homes are melting. More natural disasters are going to occur if the temperature is constantly rising. We need to try and fix this before more problems start happening because the world we live in is slowly going away on us due to all of this. Coming together to make the difference is the only way changes will get done for the today and the future.

Hello President Obama and Congress, my name is Jillian Johnson and I'm a member of the Environmental Protection Agency and I'm here to inform you on the possible effects on Natural disasters on our planet. As you may or may not know , our planet is warming day by day. Ice is melting worldwide especially in the North and South poles. Sea level has increased over the last century. On average, precipitation such as rain and snowfall has increased across the globe. Sea levels are expected to increase between 7-23 inches by the end of the century. Hurricanes and other storms are likely to become stronger. If we to continue not taking care of the Earth, fresh water will become unavailable, and diseased such as malaria would start to spread. Our ecosystem will change. For example Polar bears, already starting to become extinct. I'm just here to encourage you to take care of our planet for your kids and for your kid's kid. Our nation should set an example for other nations.
