Both Morgan and Caitria had to overcome damages done to their houses due to tornado disasters.How did they help themselves and other communities? They organized a plan where they would help rebuild and fix damages that were made to their families home and many others in their community across the United States also shelter people that were also effected in the mixed of the Tornado. An issue both Morgan and Caitria was the damage done to their houses and the courage,want, and need to put together an organization to help others be more prepared for the next disaster heading their way.

ReplyDeleteBoth Caitria and Morgan had to overcome the fact that a tornado had completely destroyed their homes. They had to completely change their life plans due to this life changing experience. They had to plan out how to rebuild and reconstruct after the tornado. Since they weren’t quite used to tornadoes, being that Massachusetts aren’t really prone to them, they had to do a lot of research. Since Morgan had background educational experience she was able to build a recovery machine fast. Then they used their knowledge of mass planning and using social networks to contact people and organize a rebuilding program. It took a lot of dedication and they were able to become experts in the field of community power disaster recovery. One way they could better improve their website would be to create an app. If they were to create an app people would be able to get alerts rather than just having to log on. Instead they would be able to receive breaking news no matter what time. These alerts would be great for natural disaster warnings and would be able to supply people with tips and evacuation plans. Of course they would need the help of phone companies and possibly even the government but it would make their program a lot more accurate. Staying in touch with donators and a local bulletin for what they might need would also improve Caitria and Morgans website.
1. Some issues that Caitria and Morgan had to over come with a disaster of a EF3 tornado had crashed into their home was that they started to answer question because the people needed to know .

ReplyDeleteCaitria and Morgan stumbled upon some issues while setting up their organization. they had to learn to answer questions quickly and have the right answers, they had to figure out how to get the word out that they were helping the community. they needed to get the right tools to help their community and many others. Caitria and Morgans work is helping other communities across the US by setting up software's and training residence's on how to use them, because they cant be everywhere. by doing this they are helping communities be ready for natural disasters and how to over come them. on their website they should have more information on like how to help your own community and how to start your own organization.
1. Caitria and Morgan had to over come many obstacles in order to organize themselves to help their community. some of those obstacles that they stumbled across were being able to answer any type of questions that people asked them quickly, figuring out how to handle situations in the correct matter, advertising that they were trying to help out the community and also make right decisions. for example Caitria gave up collage to help our her community... that takes real commitment.

3. on their website they should allow people to communicate with them without having to sign up or go through many different blogs in order to contact them or even to see how they helped other communities. this should be a website that anyone can visit without having to sign up.

ReplyDeleteCaitria and Morgan's homes both got destroyed by a F3 tornado. Due to their problem they decided to help organize themselves and the community to overcome this natural disaster.
Caitria and Morgans work helps out communities across the us by using technology and every social network they had to try and communicate with people, trying to figure out their needs and questions.
I think that Caitria and Morgans website looks boring, they need something for it to be more eye catching. I also think that they should probably go around the states and help people prepare for a tornado if there ever was one. Through their experience they should have learned about what to do when a F3 or higher tornado happens, what places to go to, what places to avoid etc;

ReplyDeleteSome issue’s that Catiria and Morgan both had to overcome was, a tornado had destroyed their house, and they had to come up with different ways to make their organization known to people. Their work is helping other communities across the United States because they are helping fix/ rebuild other family house’s that has been destroyed. One way they could improve their work, is by encouraging others to help or pitch in when rebuilding something.

1. It honestly took their experience to want to change peoples life's. Caitria and Morgan both have to over come the devastating tornado that happened to destroy both of their homes.They also had to take alot of time to find out how to help others. They needed a plan .

ReplyDeleteSome of the issues Caitria and Morgan had to face was that they witnessed a devastating Tornado destroy their house, and they had to come with different strategies to make their organization be seen by people.

Their work is helping other communities across the United States by exploring other places and supporting people who went through the same stuff they did ,they help other people get the resources they deserve such as houses and other things
3.One way they can improve their work to better help their communities impacted by natural disasters is by starting a foundation where people can help and give funds to the people who deserve a better place.
1. Some issues that Caitria faced was losing her chance for a master’s degree from Moscow. They also had to face the damages done to their house and community, also the community wasn’t organized, no one truly knew where to begin. They had to handle everything themselves and make decisions the government should be making. Just the fact that a tornado hit their hometown is something they had to overcome.

They are trying to get the tools out to as many communities as possible so that people will be prepared ahead of time. I can’t even imagine how relieved I would be if I knew my community had something like this, something to fall back on and to expect recovery as soon as possible after a disaster.

ReplyDeleteThe problems that Caitria & Morgan came apon made them take risks in order to pick themselves up & spread awareness to help others who were also affected by the Tornado. The damages caused by the perilous storm that was overwhelming but nonetheless the two ladies made up their minds to help their community as well as other communities in the US overcome the natural disaster. They used the internet(Facebook) to communicate with the people to spread awareness on their own without government official opinionated permission they decided to take things into their own hands to help those who were in need of it. Their work has begun to help people across the US by prepairing & supporting those who've been affected by the storms.I think they could improve their website by including information for people who could volunteer.

ReplyDeleteCaitria and Morgan problems that they have gone through was organizing every bit of information that they had, especial, a lot of information from around the state. They had to answer a lot of questions from a lot of people when their homes or other of their properties have been damaged. Each of them had to give up that something that is the most precious to them, like when Caitria had to give up her Master’s Degree in Moscow in order to help her community.
Their work is helping by the internet. Their community is famous for their Wi-Fi and because of this; they can reach to other people and help them as well. They built tools from scratch so that after a major disaster has past, people would have fast help. They use technology to there every advantage and it’s pretty impressive.
The One thing they could improve on is expansion. If they were to expand their inventory, then more people would know about these amazing features. Everywhere around the earth, people are always getting caught in a storm, earthquake, or other natural disasters, so if anyone was to need help they would know where to go.

Caitria and Morgan had to overcome in order to organize themselves and there town to help their community by overcoming the disaster that happened to them. They had to experience the after math of the tornado EF3 after it came through there town and hit both there houses. They wanted to help the community when they went to the church and saw people giving clothes and food. They needed to find out how they could help the community from the tornado. They created Facebook page. They also built a recovering machine. They used other stuff as well to help them with the project. ReplyDelete1) Some issues they had to overcome were, they never experienced a tornado before, so they didn’t know how to deal with the aftermath of it, or even deal with it when was there. Another issue they faces was they were starting a brand new organization from the ground up, so they had to deal with getting connections, and finding out how to answer questions that people may have had to get their town back together.
2) Their work is helping communities, because they’re different from other organizations, they’re not just offering food and water, they’re offering ways to pick up communities and get them right back on their feet, by rebuilding, get donations, and even using the media to get help.
3) one way they could improve their work to better help communities is by, instead of pricing for a community powered toolkit, they could donate them, and give free classes on training and support. No one is going to have the money after a disaster to be able to afford the cost, and it’s not right how 1 family out of hundreds of others are only fortunate enough to get, and be taught how to use a community powered tool kit.
